PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Accepting a position with a Seattle Wave select baseball team is a 9-10 month commitment for both player and parent. A players success with be directly tied to their families overall dedication.

OFF SEASON TRAINING PROGRAM

Our off season training program will run October through March. Training will consist of one indoor and one outdoor practice per week - each approximately 2.5 hours in length. Indoor training will take place at WBI, located in Lynnwood (on the edge of Lynnwood near bothell). We will rent local turf fields for outdoor practices.

Indoor training will focus on swing development, a pitching and throwing program, infield/catching skills and drills, and conditioning. Outdoor training will consist of on the field strategies, situations, and repetitions - cuts and relays, bunt coverage, pitchers fielding practice, on the field hitting, base running, and much more.

NOTE: All off season training is run by Scott Watson - Assistant Coach, Edmonds Community College.

GAMES AND TOURNAMENTS

Each team will play a very competitive schedule consisting of league games and tournaments. Some tournaments will be local. Some tournaments may require you to stay in a hotel. There may be one tournament that would require air fare. Each team will play 50 to 70 games, depending.

FEES

13u/14u/15u - There are two parts - a player fee and a training fee.

Player Fee - ($1900) - covers the following, but not limited to:

Paid Coaches - All coaches are high school coaches, scouts, ex pro players, or ex college players - we do not hire parent coaches.

Uniforms - All uniforms are new, we do not issue used or worn uniforms - includes caps, helmets, jerseys, pants, belt, socks, bat or equipment bag

Tournament Fees - We will play 7 to 9 tournaments depending on cost and location, to include one bigger one that may entail an air fare. Some tournaments will entail staying in a hotel. We only participate in competitive tournaments.

Other - facility, umpires, fields, insurance, equipment, administrative, and league fees

Training Fee - ($900) - This covers all indoor and outdoor training during the off season - will include approximately 20 weeks of weekly practice - 2x weekly - one indoor and one outdoor - 5 to 6 hours per week or 100 to 120 total hours. That comes to approximately $7.50 per hour.

The fees will be broken down like this - deposit ($600), the balance ($2,200), paid in 7 equal payments ($314.00) - payable on the first of each month beginning in October and completed April 1st.

THERE ARE NO EXTRA FEES, ADDED COST, MANDATED FUNDRAISING, AUCTIONS, ETC - NONE!
